Club Achievements

 

  • RI Grant for $19,300-purchased van (plus insurance, gas, inspection, driver and garage rent for one year) for Desert Rose Girls Shelter in Mongolia
  • Attendance at 70%+ or better all year
  • Gained five members
  • Sent one student to RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award)
  • Hosted/Sent one Short Term Exchange Student from Italy
  • Supported the Hearing Impaired Program – $250
  • Sold Water at Riverfest, Hosted Garden Walk & Pitching booth
  • Received a District Simplified Grant for $700 for Opportunity School Technology
  • Gave four scholarships of $500 (IVCC, Ottawa High School, Marquette High School, Opportunity Pre-School)
  • Donated to Shelter Box Project, Polio Plus Campaign, School Tools, YMCA, Easter Seals Canisters, Food Resource Bank, Shop with a Cop, UW Imagination Library, Rose Parade Float
  • dictionaries given to 3rd graders at Wallace, Waltham, Milton Pope, Deer Park, Grand Ridge and Marseilles
  • Toy and Book float (over past twenty years, we have collected over 7,000 toys and 4,000 books)
  • Seven perfect attendance winners

 

  • Presidential Citation (one of twelve clubs)-The club did an outstanding work and increase membership.
  • Club Officer of the Year (one of forty-eight clubs)- Give to an individual who showed commitment, leadership and passion for the ideals of Rotary and was a model for others in their club and our district
  • Literacy Achievement Award (one of ten clubs)
  • District Rotary Foundation per capita Giving– In top ten at $104.35 per member
  • New Paul Harris Fellows-Five Club members
  • New Paul Harris Sustaining-Three Club members
